Michael Dans Photography 

1. When did you get into photography?

Last year I got a camera for my birthday, so i started to play around with it and figure out the settings, but i really got into it during my trip to Greece and italy over the summer
2. What type of photography do you find yourself mostly doing?

I’ve tried doing different kinds of photography however i usually do more scenic/landscape photography
3. What camera do you use?

I have a sony alpha a6000
4. Who's one photographer that you aspire or look up to?

A photographer I look up to is Lucas Murnaghan. He does very different photography, however he has been able to travel to places like Los Angeles and New York just for photography even though it is just a hobby of his. To be able to do something like that eventually would be incredible.
5. Do you find yourself easily inspired, if so by what?

I find sunsets very inspiring and they are some of my favourite pictures to shoot. The sun sets every night with vibrant colours, however, there is no day that it is the same there is always something new and different to look at
6. Is photography a passion or a hobby of yours?

Right now photography is more of a hobby for me
7. Do you find that photography is a good outlet for your creativity?

I think it is a pretty good outlet for my creativity because photography isn't always just about taking a picture, it can be about finding a different way to look at things and create a new meaning for your image
8. How would you describe your photography in 5 words?

Peaceful, relaxing, satisfying, thought provoking,  
9. What is your ideal subject ie place, person, thing to photograph?

Sunsets
10. Briefly describe what a photograph means to you

To me it means being able to capture feelings. I take pictures of views that I think are breathtaking or things that look really cool and when I look back on those pictures I remember how i was feeling when I took the pictures and I think that that is pretty cool.
